The "Nitty Gritty"

Insurance companies have networks within their networks. Even if we have a contract as an in-network provider with your insurance company, it doesn't always mean that we are covered or in-network with your plan. We highly recommend confirming that your network covers Playful Minds Counseling and the provider you wish to work with. Yes, we agree that it's frustrating. We do our best to verify benefits once we have your insurance information; however, the information we access isn't always clear or accurate.​

 

We highly recommend contacting your insurance company to understand your mental health benefits.​

COUNSELING/THERAPY

Playful Minds clinicians come from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines. It can be confusing to understand all of the different letters after people's names! We have Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers, and we will also soon have Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists on our team. All of these disciplines are highly trained to provide counseling and therapy to our clients. What you can rely on is that our providers approach counseling and therapy from a lens of cultural humility, non-judgment, compassion, and authenticity. CLINICAL SUPERVISION

We provide both in-house clinical supervision to associates who join our team as well as private supervision for all Master's level practitioners (LMHCA, LMFTA, and LIACSW). CONSULTATION AND TRAINING

Consultation and Training will vary based upon the scope of the project. Please stay tuned for upcoming training opportunities. We aim to create accessible training and consultation services in order to support the therapist community. Please send us an email if you have a specific request.

​You have the right to receive a

“Good Faith Estimate”

explaining how much your health care will cost.

​

  • Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have certain types of healthcare coverage or are not using certain types of healthcare coverage an estimate of their bill for healthcare items and services before those items or services are provided.

​

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

​

  • If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after you ask.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.
