Private Clinical Supervision for Mental Health Providers
At Playful Minds Counseling, we are proud to offer private clinical supervision to all masters-level mental health professionals, including those pursuing licensure as LMHC, LMFT, and LICSW. Whether you’re at the beginning of your clinical journey or deepening your professional identity, our supervision is designed to be a meaningful and transformative part of your development.
Why Supervision Matters
Clinical supervision is more than a requirement—it’s a space for reflection, growth, and support. It’s where you sharpen your clinical judgment, learn to navigate ethical complexities, and find your unique voice as a clinician. Supervision is a collaborative process that should both challenge and nurture you, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Our Supervision Framework
We approach supervision using an integrated model that combines the Developmental Model of Supervision and the Discrimination Model, ensuring we can meet you where you are while supporting your evolution as a therapist. These models allow us to flexibly adapt our role—sometimes as teacher, sometimes as consultant, and sometimes as counselor—depending on your needs in the moment and your stage of professional development.
We intentionally infuse our supervision with liberation psychology, anti-colonialist perspectives, and feminist theory, recognizing that clinical work doesn’t happen in a vacuum. We explore how systems of power, privilege, and oppression show up in the therapy room, in supervision, and in our own professional identities. This includes an active focus on your values, cultural context, and the communities you serve.
Supervision with Purpose
Our goal is to help you become not just a competent therapist, but a conscious one—grounded in clinical skill and committed to equity, inclusion, and liberation in your practice. Whether you’re looking for support navigating complex cases, building your confidence, or critically examining your role as a healer in today’s world, we are here to walk with you.
