I believe that examining relationships and adjusting and growing together creates strong bonds. This work can happen individually, but it also happens in family, partner, or group sessions. As someone working through a systemic lens, I believe that a person, family, and community are more than the sum of their parts. By healing individuals and relationships, we can build stronger and kinder families and communities. Therapy can be a process of healing, growth, understanding, and joy. Discovering and developing inner resources is hard work, but we can do it together.

My Approach
I work most often with children 3-12 and their families, or with individuals 11 and up — that includes adults who want a therapist with a relational lens and playful attitude! I love supporting people on gender or neurodivergence journeys. I approach people and families with curiosity, looking for strengths as well as what might be hindering growth. Each new discovery, perceived problem, and diagnosis is an open door to growth and connection. I assist and guide clients in creating and realizing values-aligned, realistic goals within a therapeutic experience that is both empathetic and progress-oriented. My work is informed by Humanistic-Experiential, Emotionally Focused (EFT), Gestalt, and Existential practices. No two individuals or families are alike, and each requires different tools. These may include Child-Centered Play, ACT, DBT, or parent-oriented interventions like Filial Therapy.

Professional Training and Memberships
I received my Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy at Seattle University. Prior to graduate school, I was a Montessori early childhood teacher for 15 years. I hold a Master of Education degree specializing in early childhood from Loyola University Maryland. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in History and Teacher Preparation from Yale University. I have received introductory trainings from the Montessori Medical Partnership for Inclusion and in Positive Discipline, and have trained as a youth sex educator in the Our Whole Lives program. I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT).
