ZAYA MURPHY, BA, AAC (intern)

I believe that every life is valuable and every soul is deserving of care and compassion. I am passionate about providing care for the LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and BIPOC communities. I seek to cultivate a space that is safe and welcoming for those who have felt othered throughout their lives. I work from a trauma-informed, identity-affirming lens.

I utilize an integrated approach that is centered in humanistic theory. I primarily pull from person-centered, Gestalt, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing (MI), and Adlerian therapy. I also frequently utilize narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Every person is unique and deserves a unique, individualized approach. I am eager to meet you where you are and walk alongside you in your growth and healing journey.

I am here to support you in navigating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, ADHD, autism, gender and sexual identity, racial identity, personality disorders, life transitions, and whatever else you may be holding right now.
